This weekend I attended the official launch of Wolverhampton’s new Market. It is a fantastic development for the city, located on Cleveland Street opposite the Wulfrun Centre.

It boasts 20 cabins and 48 stalls in total offering the flexibility to trade from bigger cabins, there is an event space, a secure site with measures in place to combat hostile vehicles while still allowing access for traders to load and unload.

The range of locally sourced products on offer was brilliant. I spoke to market traders who were pleased with their new facility.
Some of the highlights from the launch included five-out-of-five AA Rosette and multi Michelin Star award-winning chef Jean Christophe Novelli who put on a cookery roadshow for the crowd. And there was a performance by Britain’s Got Talent finalist Donchez who performed ‘Wiggle and Wine’.
