Acorns offered lifeline

We are all thrilled to hear of the funding boost for Acorns Children's Hospice in Walsall which provides a vital service for families across the whole Black Country and there was huge dismay at the announcement it would close. However the battle is not yet over. Today’s news is a lifeline that keeps the Hospice open until next year but Acorns still needs to raise £2m to secure its long term future. We all need to get behind that fundraising campaign now to ensure the Walsall children’s Hospice is there to serve the Black Country for many years to come.We have worked across the political parties to show the strength of support for the Hospice. A letter to the Secretary of State for Health that I co-ordinated was signed by almost every Black Country MP. Lets keep going and support Acorns to reach their target.
