As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close I would like to wish all constituents who are celebrating a very happy Eid.
Ramadan is always a testing time of fasting but this year it has been made more difficult by the requirement to stay at home and not meet collectively either at the Mosque or in extended families.
I know that people miss collective worship and prayer and I hope that when it is safe to do so we will be able to re-open all our places of worship.
Although Eid is different this year because of the coronavirus crisis, I extend my warmest wishes to all who are marking this occasion. I hope we will emerge from this period of great difficulty soon and be able once again to meet, to see one another and to do the big job of rebuilding that will be needed.
