I recently met with Alison Fisher, founder of the Parent and Carer Support Group and committee members Emily Pearce and Mark Aston.

The group was set up in 2018 by Alison and a small group of parents to support families who care for children and adults with additional needs. At the start of the pandemic the group moved many of their activities online and provide regular webinars and virtual events. They also help with a food parcel service and support packs for families and are in the process of creating a sensory play area and garden for children with special needs.

The group is run by parents who do this on a voluntary basis, and they are all doing amazing work and currently support over 220 families in Bilston, Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
