On Friday 22nd August, Pat attended the opening of a new play area and garden on Princess Anne Road in Bradley, which was previously an area of over-grown wasteland, prone to fly-tipping. Over 90 staff volunteers from Wolverhampton Homes helped transform the piece of derelict land into a community play area, helping to clear the site, lay turf, plant shrubs and flowers and install new play equipment for local children on the estate to enjoy.

Pat said: “It is great to see this area brought back into use. I am grateful to all the Wolverhampton Homes staff who put in voluntary time to reclaim this piece of land for use by the local community. As a father of young children myself I appreciate the value of having safe well designed places to play and this new garden and playground will be a great asset for local people in years to come.”
