On Friday, I visited Tesco Express in Eastfield in my constituency to support them with their Christmas food collection for the The Trussell Trust.
I do this every year alongside FareShare West Midlands who are a charity who work to fight food hunger and food waste. Thank you to Tesco, FareShare and the Trussell Trust for working hard to tackle food poverty in Wolverhampton and nationally.
Since the introduction of Universal Credit and for other reasons, we are seeing more and more families needing support in our city and I’m grateful to initiatives such as this one for supporting those in need.
