Skelton group, owners of the Wellington and Bean Road industrial estates in Coseley, have put in a planning application for a major redevelopment of the site to Dudley council.

The plans, entitled Coseley Eco Park, involve new housing, a new energy from waste plant, a new supermarket and new employment space to replace the existing buildings.  Skelton group estimate that if this development goes ahead it will create up to 1,000 new jobs.

I want to hear constituents’ views on these plans but, after meeting Skelton Group several times in the past couple of years, I believe they have the potential to transform this site and create much needed new employment. 

We want to see jobs and growth in the area and this investment could create much needed new employment, as well as resulting in the physical transformation of the site.
