This week we have marked ‘Mental Health Awareness Week’ and I’d like to thank the fantastic services in my constituency who work to support people with mental health issues.

Those services include;

Newly opened ‘Trinity Court’ in Ettingshall which is a purpose built service that focuses on the needs and recovery of people with enduring mental health needs. Trinity Court is divided into two specialist units focusing on the different needs of people at varying times in their recovery journey.

Their 17-bed recovery unit is led by an experienced Occupational Therapist, who ensure the recovery process is instilled in the day to day running of the home. The recovery pathway from admission to discharge within this unit is aimed at two years.

Positive Participation run by the fantastic Gurbax Kaur who works hard across the city to raise awareness and support the Asian community with mental health issues.

Finally, HeadStart Wolverhampton who have hubs in Bilston, Eastfield and at the Bob Jones Community Hub who work tirelessly to support young people with mental health issues and raise awareness of mental health amongst young people.
