Last week, I visited Grove Primary school in my constituency.

The school has had its issues in the past but I welcomed the news that last year the school received a letter from the Minister congratulating them on being in the top 2% of improved schools in the country.

I was thrilled to see children from different backgrounds and cultures in a school that has 37 different languages spoken. It’s a credit to the school to support such a diverse range of children and families.

In addition to this, the school was hosting a non-uniform day to raise money for the school’s ‘Business and Enterprise club’. I was happy to donate some House of Commons chocolates to their ‘hamper raffle’. The ‘Business and Enterprise Club’ are hoping to raise money for new playground equipment.

Thank you to the children and Mr Davis for hosting me at the school.
