Every year I host competition in my constituency to allow school children from across the borough the opportunity to design my Christmas Card. The competition received over 200 entries from children from various different schools and I whittled the entries down to 1 winner and 5 runners up.

On Friday, I will be hosting a presentation ceremony where I will present the winning child and the runners up with their certificates as well as some House of Commons prizes.

Every year MPs have to decide which Christmas card they will use; it gets sent to businesses, other MPs, places of worship, charities and constituents so you want it to be creative and a good design. I have run this competition for a number of years now and not only do I always end up with a fantastic, quality design but it also is a real confidence boost for the children taking part, it encourages them to think more about Politics and also to be creative. I’d like to thank all of the people that entered, the winner and runners up but also the local sponsors of the competition. The sponsors are; Zuri Coffee (Wolverhampton), Revolver Records (Wolverhampton) and Pallet Track (Wolverhampton).
