Following the vote against continuing free school meals vouchers during the half term break by 322 Tory MPs, I am enormously grateful to all the local authorities, voluntary organisations, businesses and church groups who have stepped up to help feed local children. This weekend I visited the Emergency Food Service at St Chad’s Church Hall in Bilston. This service is organised by the New Testament Church of God and supported by Fare Share, Morrisons, and the National Lottery Community fund, as well as receiving donations from the public. Thank you to everyone who is helping to organise this effort.
