On Friday I visited the poppy appeal stall at Bilston market run by the Royal British Legion. It has been a difficult year for the poppy appeal this year as people are not going out as much, and also using and carrying cash a lot less. So it was great to see the local poppy appeal doing such a brisk trade in poppies. They have all kinds for sale from the traditional style to metal badges and other poppy themed goods. Let’s do what we can in the run up to Remembrance Sunday to support this year’s poppy appeal.
