A few days ago I visited the Elias Mattu Foundation food bank. The Foundation is run by Elias’s wife Asha and from a standing start is now supporting around 500 families across the city. The Foundation has received wonderful support from local businesses and individuals. The work they are doing is testament to the power of community spirit and I want to thank Asha, Manjit and all the volunteers who are working hard to support the project.
