I recently met with UKBIC, which is a unique facility based in Coventry. The mission of UKBIC is to develop battery technology for the transition to a greener future by bringing together the best of academic research and expertise with manufacturing capability. This is an excellent asset for the country and will play an important role in attracting more businesses, jobs and skills to the West Midlands so we can lead the green industrial revolution here in our region.
