The Prime Minister has said the UK will leave the European Single Market when we leave the EU.

But there has been no proper estimate of the cost of this to the UK economy. And a number of countries outside the EU still take part in the Single Market. Today I asked the Prime Minister if her commitment to leaving the Single Market also applied to any transition agreement which might be negotiated for the period after March 2019. This is extremely important for UK businesses and their employees to know.
